About TYGERIAN

About the Author
Tygerian Talbott is a marketing professional, entrepreneur, creative director, and writer whose work explores themes of high performance, identity, and personal alignment through reflection, observation, and storytelling.
She currently serves as an Assistant Director of a Marketing and Communications team in higher education, where her work focuses on strategic communications, enrollment marketing, and audience engagement across graduate education initiatives.
Tygerian holds a BA in Criminology and an MA in Criminology with a minor in Sociology. Her academic background informs her interest in behavioral patterns, emotional conditioning, identity formation, and the social systems that influence how individuals move through pressure, responsibility, and achievement.
Beyond higher education, Tygerian founded TYGERIANLACE, a fashion and creative brand launched in 2014. Her work as a designer and producer has included more than 70 fashion shows, national creative collaborations, and the successful presentation of collections during New York Fashion Week. In 2025, she launched the Emerging Designer Competition, a platform created to support and elevate independent designers and creative voices.
Her professional and creative experiences eventually led her to explore a deeper question: what happens when achievement, responsibility, and emotional endurance become identity?
That question became the foundation for The People Pleaser’s Exit, a reflective work examining emotional labor, people-pleasing, and the internal experience of sustaining high performance over time.
Through participant observations, personal reflection, and existing research, Tygerian’s work explores experiences that can exist beneath competence, ambition, and reliability, with particular attention to how people navigate leadership, caregiving, and high-pressure environments simultaneously.
She believes becoming is not always about becoming someone new, but about creating space to better understand who you are and how you want to move through life.
Tygerian lives in the Washington, D. C. area with her two children and continues her work across writing, strategy, creativity, and emotional wellness advocacy.
